GLIG In The Wilds of Woodstock For Vimmia X

Note: Although this post is sponsored, all opinions on the product are my own.

When we decided to visit Woodstock for Labor Day weekend, we knew we had to do one thing while we were there: go hiking. After another summer immersed in the steamy concrete of Manhattan, the magnetic lure of rushing waterfalls, endless trees and the hypnotic soundtrack of crickets chirping was powerful.  We couldn't resist.

As I prepared for a day of adventure, discoveries and rigorous hiking, the first thing I thought about was what I was going to wear (naturally!). The days were hot, but comfortable in the shade, so I chose easily removable layers on top (my favorite Free People movement bra), and my new revolutionary VIMMIA X leggings.

According to the brand, VIMMIA X contains far infrared technology that transforms human body heat into energy, providing both performance and cosmetic benefits.  This technology enhanced with bioactive minerals and combined with the documented benefits of compression increases blood microcirculation promoting a high level of comfort, and improves the skin's appearance.

The leggings were perfect for the hike.  My legs felt energized the entire day due to the compression and surprisingly, the fabric felt cool and comfortable on my legs despite the heat as we navigated wildflower fields, steep levels of stone and rushing water on our way to the waterfall. Along the way, I couldn't resist the opportunity to test their durability with a few moments of relaxing yoga amidst the stunning and majestic setting of the Catskill Mountains, and the leggings didn't disappoint.

As we made our way to the top, I was in constant awe of the beauty surrounding us; a lovely reminder that my spirit and soul remain connected to nature, and to nature I will always return when I am in need of regaining my sense of balance, peace and happiness.
